The Top 5 Moves That Fight Against Arthritis To Bring Back Flexibility In The Joints

Being diagnosed with arthritis isn’t something the doctor or the patient is ever happy with. It hinders everyday activities, and for those who are fitness enthusiasts, it will compromise their workouts. Walking:
Weightwatchers that losing weight goes hand-in-hand with reducing the pain and regaining the flexibility of your joints that are suffering from arthritis. Eric Robertson, who is a Physical Therapist in Denver, agrees with Sukala; he told WebMD in an interview that “Cartilage is like a sponge and it gets nutrients from the compression and decompression of your body weight as you walk.”

Chair Leg Raises: Lesley Hlad, a doctor of physical therapy in the arthritis rehabilitation service at Duke University’s Center for Living in Durham, said in an interview with Health.com that the chair leg raises helps you control your range of motion with your legs and less with your arms.

Pilates: Tresa Sauer, a personal trainer at the YWCA of Minneapolis, was kindly able to explain to Health.com that doing Pilates is a great way to stabilize and strengthen your joints. She suggests that people suffering from arthritis should do the shoulder bridge exercise.

Wall Squat: William Oswald, DPT, a physical therapist and clinical instructor of rehabilitation medicine at NYU Langone Health, mentioned in an interview with WebMD that strong muscles will support and strengthen your joints. He adds that strengthening the lower body can take some pressure off the hip and knee joints.

Exercises to Avoid: Oswald also added that for those who are suffering from arthritis, they should avoid high-impact exercises to start. For example: do not jump on a treadmill and start running at full speed, you need to ease your muscles and joints into it. He adds that the impact could stimulate the cells that are repairing the cartilage.

5Ways Your Body Is Telling That It Is Low On Essential Vitamins

5Ways Your Body Is Telling That It Is Low On Essential Vitamins

Having a well-balanced and nutritious diet can provide your body with many health benefits. But with every balanced and nutritious diet, there is always someone who has a diet that is lacking certain nut

.This can cause some unpleasant symptoms.

Brittle Hair and Nails: One of the main vitamin deficiencies that can cause brittle hair and nails is biotin deficiency. According to the National Academics of Sciences, Engineering and Medicine, individuals who constantly consume raw egg whites over long periods of time can become biotin deficient. One of the main reasons why consuming raw egg whites for long periods of time can cause biotin deficiency is because it contains the substance avidin. Avidin is a binding protein of biotin, which means when it’s consumed, it reduces biotin absorption

Mouth Ulcers: Have you ever gotten a canker sore or crack on the side of your mouth? If you have, chances are you may be suffering from low iron or vitamin B. According to one study published on PubMed, 144 patients in the United Kingdom who had oral disease were examined in order to try and resolve the controversy of whether or not levels of hemoglobin, blood cell numbers and indices, and blood film are adequate in the screening of patients with mouth ulcers. Although the sample was small, researchers found that patients who were suffering from mouth ulcers were twice as likely to have low iron levels. In addition, a separate study that can also be found on PubMed evaluated 60 patients who had reoccurring mouth ulcers.

Bleeding Gums: Sometimes when you brush your teeth aggressively, you end up with bleeding gums. Other times you may have a serious case of gingivitis, but sometimes a diet that is lacking vitamin C can contribute to your bleeding gums. According to the National Institute of Health, as vitamin C deficiency progresses, collagen synthesis becomes impaired and connective tissues in the body become weak.

Poor Vision At Night: If your diet is lacking vitamin A, you may suffer from night blindness, according to an article published on PubMed. Early Warning Signs Your Blood Sugar

Early Warning Signs Your Blood Sugar Is SUPEWhat most people don’t know is that high blood sugar levels can cause severe damage. Whether you’re diabetic or not, high blood sugar can cause damage to your nerves, organs and blood vessels. The real danger though is when your blood sugar level does not go down. It’s when it doesn’t go down where serious health problems can occur.R HighOne of the reasons why people suffer from high blood sugais because they are uneducated about the seriousness of it and the signs that our body gives.

Constantly Thirsty: The main reason why high blood sugar causes you to be thirsty is polyuria. When your blood sugar level is high, your kidneys cannot keep up. So they produce more urine to get rid of the excess glucose they cannot absorb. This causes you to become dehydrated
Increased Eating Habits: If you find that your eating habits are increasing, you might have high blood sugar levels, according to the Mayo Clinic. The reason why high blood sugar levels can cause increased eating is that glucose is unable to enter the cells. It could be because of lack of insulin or possibly insulin resistance. When this happens, your body is unable to convert the food you eat into energy. So if your body feels it doesn’t have enough energy, it will require more food to try and produce glucose.

Constant Urination: This sign is directly linked to constant thirst, according to the Mayo Clinic. Your kidneys are unable to keep up with the excess sugar, so they only way they can get rid of it is through urination. Keep an eye on your trips to the bathroom. If you find you are going every hour, you could have high blood sugar levels. But this could also mean you have a more serious health issue.

Chronic Fatigue: You might think that having high blood sugar means you have a lot of energy. The total opposite can happen though. When you have high blood sugar, you urinate more and you become thirsty because your kidneys cannot absorb the glucose and create energy, says WebMD.  With no energy, your body will become weak and tired.

Weight Gain: If you have high blood sugar, chances are you might be insulin resistant. In this case, your cells no longer respond to insulin. It is extremely difficult for insulin-resistant cells to take glucose from your blood. Because of this, your blood sugar levels begin to build up over time. This can cause you to gain weight, according to Livestrong
Dry Skin: If you experience this sign, your blood sugar levels may have been high for quite some time. High blood sugar levels can cause the nerves to become damaged and also causes the body to lose fluids rapidly, explains WebMD. If this process continues for years, the body’s nerves become damaged and the skin becomes dry

4 Diet Mistakes You’re Making that Only Create More Belly Fat.

you have been trying hard to lose weight, and you still haven’t seen any results, you probably make some of the mistakes we are writing about today.
1. LATE NIGHT MEALS WILL LEAD TO WEIGHT GAIN :
This is one of the biggest myths, but apparently, our body does not store more fat at night than any other time of the day. It is the food you consume that makes you gain weight, not the time you consume it.– Researchers have found that eating late at night does not lead to more weight. Namely, this study lasted for 6 months and involved people who were divided into two groups
.2. SMALL  MEALS THROUGHOUT THE DAY WILL BOOST METABOLISM:
This is completely false, as the speed of the metabolism does not depend on the number of meals during the day. Every individual should find his own meal frequency regimen .Eating on a few hours will prevent overeating, but it will not help you lose weight faster or accelerate your metabolism.
3. EXTREME, LOW-CALORIE DIETS HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT FAT:
If you consume fewer calories than your body needs in order to function properly, the resting metabolic rate (meaning your metabolism) will decrease, so it would be even more difficult to lose weight. Researchers have found that diets are lower than 1200 calories lead to the biggest decrease in your RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate).
4. ALL CALORIES ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL

This last one is actually true. Our body processes different types of food differently, as we burn 20-30 percent of all consumed ‘protein’ calories, 6 percent of all ‘carb’ calories, and 3 percent of all ‘fat’ calories in the digestion process.
You should focus on protein, as it is burned the quickest, even without exercising. This process is known as the Thermal Effect of Food (TEF). For instance, if you ate 1000 calories of chicken and 1000 calories of ice-cream, you would gain more weight with ice-cream, since only 3 percent of the fat from the ice cream would burn in the digestion process, compared to the 20-30 percent of the protein in chicken

The 7 Dangerous Acts After Meal
x
Don’t Act The 7 Actions Below After You Have A Meal
1) Don’t smoke – Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).
2) Don’t eat fruits immediately – Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before meal.
3) Don’t drink tea – Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.
 4) Don’t loosen your belt – Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted & blocked.
5) Don’t bathe – Bathing after meal will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.
6) Don’t walk about – People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.
7) Don’t sleep immediately – The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

#SITTING IS DANDER, Have You Ever Thought Sitting Is The Silent Killer?

Have You Ever Thought Sitting Is The Silent Killer?

Yes!! It is the new generation Slow and a Silent killer. I was going through an article on Google and happened to come across a new statement “Sitting is the new Smoking” . I was shocked to read it and was even more astonished to see the bad effects of sitting for long hours. Then I realized, I should be sharing it with my friends too.

If we analyse our daily routine for a minute, most of us lead a sedentary lifestyle with no physical activity. From the moment we wake up, till the time we go to bed ,we are sitting most of the time either during travel, at the work-place or while having our meals. Some experts say that people who are inactive and sit for long periods have a 147 per cent higher risk of suffering a heart attack or stroke.

If we look at the risks, Forget about backaches, what we should really be worried about is the impact of sitting on our internal organs. When you sit for a long period of time our muscles burn less fat and our blood begins to flow slowly, allowing fatty acids to easily clog our heart. Sitting has been linked to high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, and cardiovascular disease. In addition, our pancreas may over produce insulin, which can lead to diabetes, and studies have linked sitting to a greater risk for developing colon, breast, and endometrial cancers.

Spending a few hours a week at the gym or otherwise engaged in moderate or vigorous activity doesn't seem to significantly offset the risk.
The less sitting or lying down you do during the day, the better your chances for living a healthy life. Some ways you can incorporate activity into your day are:
·         Use the stairs instead of the lift or escalator, or at least walk up the escalator. I have started following this, it feels better with the increase in the count of number of steps in your Fitbit or any health device.
·         By being more active at work...Applies to all .
·         Walk over and talk to your colleagues instead of emailing them.

·         Take your lunch break away from your desk and enjoy a short walk outside if you can.

·         Be active indoors too.Don’t let bad weather stop you from being active! You can do body weight exercises such as squats, sit-ups, and lunges.

On the whole, lets reduce our sedentary lifestyle, Moving around is good for you. It’s good for your physical health as well as your mental health.
It’s wise to adopt the mantra of “Sit less, Move More.”
Decrease your sitting time by a few minutes each day. Your body will give you a standing ovation.
