4 Diet Mistakes You’re Making that Only Create More Belly Fat.

you have been trying hard to lose weight, and you still haven’t seen any results, you probably make some of the mistakes we are writing about today.
1. LATE NIGHT MEALS WILL LEAD TO WEIGHT GAIN :
This is one of the biggest myths, but apparently, our body does not store more fat at night than any other time of the day. It is the food you consume that makes you gain weight, not the time you consume it.– Researchers have found that eating late at night does not lead to more weight. Namely, this study lasted for 6 months and involved people who were divided into two groups
.2. SMALL  MEALS THROUGHOUT THE DAY WILL BOOST METABOLISM:
This is completely false, as the speed of the metabolism does not depend on the number of meals during the day. Every individual should find his own meal frequency regimen .Eating on a few hours will prevent overeating, but it will not help you lose weight faster or accelerate your metabolism.
3. EXTREME, LOW-CALORIE DIETS HELP YOU LOSE WEIGHT FAT:
If you consume fewer calories than your body needs in order to function properly, the resting metabolic rate (meaning your metabolism) will decrease, so it would be even more difficult to lose weight. Researchers have found that diets are lower than 1200 calories lead to the biggest decrease in your RMR (Resting Metabolic Rate).
4. ALL CALORIES ARE NOT CREATED EQUAL

This last one is actually true. Our body processes different types of food differently, as we burn 20-30 percent of all consumed ‘protein’ calories, 6 percent of all ‘carb’ calories, and 3 percent of all ‘fat’ calories in the digestion process.
You should focus on protein, as it is burned the quickest, even without exercising. This process is known as the Thermal Effect of Food (TEF). For instance, if you ate 1000 calories of chicken and 1000 calories of ice-cream, you would gain more weight with ice-cream, since only 3 percent of the fat from the ice cream would burn in the digestion process, compared to the 20-30 percent of the protein in chicken

The 7 Dangerous Acts After Meal
x
Don’t Act The 7 Actions Below After You Have A Meal
1) Don’t smoke – Experiment from experts proves that smoking a cigarette after meal is comparable to smoking 10 cigarettes (chances of cancer is higher).
2) Don’t eat fruits immediately – Immediately eating fruits after meals will cause stomach to be bloated with air. Therefore take fruit 1-2 hr after meal or 1hr before meal.
3) Don’t drink tea – Because tea leaves contain a high content of acid. This substance will cause the Protein content in the food we consume to be hardened thus difficult to digest.
 4) Don’t loosen your belt – Loosening the belt after a meal will easily cause the intestine to be twisted & blocked.
5) Don’t bathe – Bathing after meal will cause the increase of blood flow to the hands, legs & body thus the amount of blood around the stomach will therefore decrease. This will weaken the digestive system in our stomach.
6) Don’t walk about – People always say that after a meal walk a hundred steps and you will live till 99. In actual fact this is not true. Walking will cause the digestive system to be unable to absorb the nutrition from the food we intake.
7) Don’t sleep immediately – The food we intake will not be able to digest properly. Thus will lead to gastric & infection in our intestine.

#SITTING IS DANDER, Have You Ever Thought Sitting Is The Silent Killer?

Have You Ever Thought Sitting Is The Silent Killer?

Yes!! It is the new generation Slow and a Silent killer. I was going through an article on Google and happened to come across a new statement “Sitting is the new Smoking” . I was shocked to read it and was even more astonished to see the bad effects of sitting for long hours. Then I realized, I should be sharing it with my friends too.

If we analyse our daily routine for a minute, most of us lead a sedentary lifestyle with no physical activity. From the moment we wake up, till the time we go to bed ,we are sitting most of the time either during travel, at the work-place or while having our meals. Some experts say that people who are inactive and sit for long periods have a 147 per cent higher risk of suffering a heart attack or stroke.

If we look at the risks, Forget about backaches, what we should really be worried about is the impact of sitting on our internal organs. When you sit for a long period of time our muscles burn less fat and our blood begins to flow slowly, allowing fatty acids to easily clog our heart. Sitting has been linked to high blood pressure, elevated cholesterol, and cardiovascular disease. In addition, our pancreas may over produce insulin, which can lead to diabetes, and studies have linked sitting to a greater risk for developing colon, breast, and endometrial cancers.

Spending a few hours a week at the gym or otherwise engaged in moderate or vigorous activity doesn't seem to significantly offset the risk.
The less sitting or lying down you do during the day, the better your chances for living a healthy life. Some ways you can incorporate activity into your day are:
·         Use the stairs instead of the lift or escalator, or at least walk up the escalator. I have started following this, it feels better with the increase in the count of number of steps in your Fitbit or any health device.
·         By being more active at work...Applies to all .
·         Walk over and talk to your colleagues instead of emailing them.

·         Take your lunch break away from your desk and enjoy a short walk outside if you can.

·         Be active indoors too.Don’t let bad weather stop you from being active! You can do body weight exercises such as squats, sit-ups, and lunges.

On the whole, lets reduce our sedentary lifestyle, Moving around is good for you. It’s good for your physical health as well as your mental health.
It’s wise to adopt the mantra of “Sit less, Move More.”
Decrease your sitting time by a few minutes each day. Your body will give you a standing ovation.
